Recruitment and Administration Team LeaderThe closing date is 04 May 2026
You will be an important member of the People Directorate, and will have autonomy in decision making but will be supported by colleagues when you need us - we have a range of skills and expertise available to you.
You will lead your team to deliver a high quality Recruitment service to the Trust ensuring that roles are properly evaluated, that campaigns attract quality candidates, that the selection processes are fit for purpose, and that new employees are successfully onboarded.
You will be the expert who will be sought out by stakeholders to give advice and support so you will need to be confident in your abilities.
Your leadership skills will be exceptional, so that you can get the best from your team and use your resources effectively.
You should have experience of leading a team in a high volume Recruitment environment and working with stakeholders at all levels.
You should also be confident with the creation of effective campaigns, including use of social media and employee branding.
It is also important that you have been involved with the use of assessment centres and other selection techniques in addition to interviewing.
Experience of working in the NHS would be helpful but not essential as long as you have transferrable skills.
Main duties of the jobSpecifically you will:
Ensure the provision of a Recruitment service which is proactive, timely and effective in recruiting high quality employees into the Trust. This includes the recruitment of medical and temporary staffing posts.
Ensure the effective operation of the Agenda for Change job evaluation system as an integrated part of the recruitment process including working with key stakeholders to ensure that advice is given to write job descriptions which are fit for purpose and resources are in place for panel work to avoid unnecessary delays.
Utilise team resources effectively to deliver administrative support to the HR Business Partnering Team and to ensure governance processes are adhered to (eg DBS compliance, Professional Registration etc), by prioritising work across the team.

Person Specification Experience- Proven Experience of Recruitment campaigns
- In depth Experience of Team Leadership
- Considerable experience of working in fast paced recruitment service
- Experience of influencing stakeholder groups
- Experience of working in partnership to develop high quality processes
- NHS Experience
- Medical Staffing Experience
- Degree or equivalent learning in a relevant subject
- Experience of joint working across ICB
- Ability to present recruitment campaign to stakeholder
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills of managing people
- Ability to analyse data and provide reports
