We are now looking for a Recovery Motivator to join our Nottinghamshire service-an opportunity designed to support individuals with lived experience to take their first steps into employment while making a real difference in their community.


Where: Nottinghamshire


Hours: 37.5 hours per week


Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2028


Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.


Responsibilities

About the role:


With this role you'll be working as part of our Nottinghamshire County Street Outreach Team in the role of Recovery Motivator with driving responsibilities of our health bus .


The team supports people in the community who have experience of rough sleeping/homelessness and are using drugs and/or alcohol.


No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.


This role includes all weather work, requires flexibility to cover early morning and evening outreach shifts, helping motivate individuals with their treatment goals and being assertive in engaging people who services may have not been able to in the past.


You'll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you'll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives and working in partnership with other providers.


In addition to the core responsibilities of a Recovery Motivator, the post holder will undertake driving duties to support service delivery of the Rough Sleeping Drug and Alcohol Treatment pathway. The role combines motivational support with practical transport assistance to enhance positive outcomes for individuals experiencing multiple disadvantage, homelessness, mental health challenges, substance misuse issues, and social exclusion.


Recovery Support Responsibilities



  • Build positive and trusting relationships with service users to support recovery and personal development.

  • Encourage engagement with support services, treatment programmes, employment opportunities, and community resources.

  • To try and engage long term rough sleepers

  • Assist individuals to identify goals and develop recovery plans.

  • Promote independence, wellbeing, and resilience through motivational interventions and practical support.

  • Maintain accurate case records in line with CGL procedures and confidentiality requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate support.


Driving Responsibilities



  • Drive company van in accordance with road traffic legislation, organisational policies, and health and safety requirements.

  • Carry out routine vehicle safety checks and report any defects, maintenance issues, accidents, or damage promptly.

  • Maintain accurate vehicle logs, mileage records, fuel receipts, and transportation records as required.

  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean, safe, roadworthy, and appropriately equipped.

  • Checking the vans supplies daily and making sure that the van is appropriately stocked and all equipment is up to date.


About you:



  • Livedexperienceof drug or/and alcohol misuse

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsalong withgood IT skills

  • Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilstremainingempathetic and non-judgemental towards Service Users

  • Confident in working alone as well as part of ateam

  • Canremain calm underpressure

  • Has a valid UK driving licence held for 2 years plus, be over 25 years of age and have no previous driving convictions.
