Recovery Coordinator 
Location: Croydon, CR0 1SH
Pay: £15/hr. + HP
Contract: Temporary / Ongoing
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join a specialist drug and alcohol service. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting service users throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in substance misuse, recovery coordination, care planning and multi-agency working, who is passionate about helping individuals achieve positive and sustainable change.
- Act as a main care coordinator for an assigned caseload of service users.
- Complete screening, comprehensive assessments, asset mapping and recovery planning.
- Develop, review and coordinate personalised recovery plans.
- Provide 1-to-1 key work, POD and group work where required.
- Coordinate access to psychosocial, clinical, harm reduction and other appropriate interventions.
- Carry out risk assessments and develop effective risk management plans.
- Triage service users and make onward referrals to relevant treatment and community support agencies.
- Work closely with prescribing clinicians and other professionals to support treatment and recovery outcomes.
- Promote recovery, resilience, peer support and social reintegration.
- Support service users to access mutual aid, recovery groups and community resources.
- Work closely with health services, hospitals, GPs, mental health services and other partner agencies.
- Provide health education around harm minimisation, blood-borne viruses and overdose prevention.
- Support appropriate screening, including DBST, urine and saliva testing, following relevant training.
- Contribute to harm reduction initiatives, including needle exchange and Naloxone distribution.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records, reports and service data.
- Support the smooth running of the service, including duty cover and other operational tasks.
- Promote inclusive engagement with hard-to-reach and underrepresented communities.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong experience working within drug and alcohol/substance misuse services or a closely related field.
- Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and recovery-focused practice.
- Experience of screening, assessment, recovery planning and risk management.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Experience of multi-agency and partnership working.
- Ability to manage a caseload and prioritise workload effectively.
- Good IT and record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain accurate case records.
- Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and information governance.
- Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
- Ability to work collaboratively with service users, colleagues and external agencies.
- A flexible and proactive approach to service delivery.
