RE Teacher

Milk Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable RE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Abbey Wood on a full time temporary to permanent basis.

This RE Teacher role is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to inspiring young people through the study of religion, ethics, and philosophy. The successful RE Teacher will join a supportive Humanities department and play a key role in developing students' critical thinking, cultural awareness, and understanding of different beliefs and values.

Located in Abbey Wood, the school benefits from excellent transport links, including the Elizabeth Line, making it easily accessible from across South East London and Kent. Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Creating an inclusive and thought provoking learning environment
  • Encouraging students to explore a range of religious, ethical, and philosophical perspectives
  • Assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress effectively
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Contributing to the wider Humanities department and school community
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities education
  • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Be committed to achieving positive outcomes for all students
  • Be able to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
