Job Description
Radiation Oncology (or radiotherapy) is part of the treatment modalities for cancer, along with medical oncology and surgery. External radiotherapy treatment aims to selectively destroy cancer cells under the effect of ionizing radiation (X-ray beams or electron beams) while preserving as much healthy surrounding tissue as possible. Today, 50% of cancer patients undergo radiotherapy. To strengthen our growing service, we are recruiting a Radiology Technician for the Radiation Oncology department at 90%. Your mission: Under the responsibility of physicians and physicists, you will participate, within your area of expertise and activity, in: - Collaborating on work and ensuring the smooth operation of the department. - Welcoming and taking care of patients for their daily radiotherapy treatments (greeting, monitoring, and developing a relationship of trust with patients and their families). We are looking for a profile that meets the following criteria: - Holds a bachelor's degree ES/HES in Medical Radiology (or equivalent if foreign diploma + diploma recognition from the Red Cross for competencies or internships in radiotherapy).- Knowledge of Varian technology, radiation protection, safety, and professional confidentiality.- Good communication skills and attention to detail.- Willing to invest in a prestigious institution aiming for medical excellence.We offer you: - Type of contract: Permanent - Percentage: 90% - Type of hours: between CHF and annual according to seniority. jida4cc435aen jit0310aen jpiy26aen
