To provide comprehensive administration support to ensure the smooth and efficient service of the Radiology departments. To communicate with a range of internal and external professionals and organisations, whilst providing an excellent customer service experience at all times.
Only open to applicants from Hampshire & Isle of Wight NHS system, which is limited to: Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Healthcare FT, Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, University Hospital Southampton FT, South Central Ambulance Service, Isle of Wight NHS FT or Hampshire Hospitals FT.
Main duties of the job- Responding to a high volume of calls and enquiries sympathetically to ensure the appropriate action is taken at all times e.g. requests for diagnostic imaging results, patient queries, rescheduling appointments etc.
- Advise patients of their imaging appointments for MRI, CT, Xray, Fluro, Ultrasound and Dexa by telephone or by letter, including any other required information/literature and send by post.
- If required, discuss sensitive explicit complex information with the patients for forthcoming examination.
- Send out preparation guidelines with appointment letters along with the appropriate medication i.e. Gastrographin or Ominipaque as prescribed by the Consultant Radiologists.
- At short notice cancel, amend and reschedule Radiology imaging sessions and appointments following strict guidelines as required. Inform patients/staff accordingly for Lymington, Hythe and Romsey.
- Cancelling scanning lists and rebooking for all Radiology departments.
- Ensure Urgent diagnostic reports are escalated to the referrer as soon as possible via email as instructed by the Consultant Radiologists and Reporting Radiographers.

Qualifications- 3 GCSE (grade C or above) or equivalent, including GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths
- NVQ Level 3 or relevant experience
