Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Business Analyst to lead and support the integration of Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Clinical Radiology Information Systems (CRIS), and EMIR across the NHS Trust and a third-party Radiology provider. This pivotal role will ensure seamless data flow, operational efficiency, and alignment of clinical and IT strategies between the Trust and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and document business and clinical requirements for the integration of RIS, CRIS, and EMIR systems.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (clinical, IT, and operational teams) and third-party Radiology providers to ensure integration projects meet clinical, technical, and data governance requirements.
- Map and document existing workflows and data flows between systems; identify gaps and inefficiencies.
- Support the design and implementation of interoperable solutions that align with NHS interoperability standards and digital strategy.
- Lead workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process reviews to gather business intelligence and operational insights.
- Translate complex technical requirements into clear documentation for clinical and managerial audiences.
- Develop test scripts and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate integration solutions.
- Monitor integration performance and support the resolution of data or workflow issues post go-live.
- Ensure compliance with information governance, data protection (GDPR), and NHS data standards throughout integration processes.
- Produce clear, concise reports and updates for governance boards and senior management.
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within NHS Radiology or Imaging services.
- Strong understanding of Radiology systems such as RIS, CRIS, and EMIR.
- Experience with system integrations between NHS Trusts and external healthcare providers.
- Familiarity with NHS data standards (e.g., DICOM, HL7, SNOMED CT).
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Proficiency in business process modelling, requirements gathering, and documentation tools.
Desirable:
- Experience with PACS and other imaging technologies.
- Knowledge of NHS Digital strategy and EHR interoperability initiatives.
- Understanding of change management and project delivery within a healthcare setting.
