Responsibilities- Provide secretarial and administration support to Consultant Radiologists and the Radiology Management Team.
- Manage own workload and act independently to maintain an efficient service with a high level of confidentiality.
- Plan Radiologists' rotas.
- Show a caring and professional approach towards patients, relatives and carers when dealing with telephone conversations.
- Collate Radiologists' time sheets and additional hour forms, ensuring accurate records.
- Participate in audits and quality improvement activities within the team.
- Train new staff within the team and adhere to departmental protocols.
- Assist and answer queries from Band 2 clerical officers as a senior team member.
- Take formal minutes for departmental meetings, organise agendas and record agreed actions.
- Maintain patient records pertaining to imaging examinations, ensuring accurate imaging identification and timely documentation.
- Identify training needs and contribute to the departmental education programme.
- Deal with patient enquiries that cannot be resolved and transfer them to the line manager.
- Work independently, prioritising own workload.
