Freelance Opportunity: Radio Design & Energy Engineer (RAN Network)

Belgium based Mobile Operator have an immediate contract opportunity for a Radio design & energy Consumption Engineer to be responsible for the energy consumption forecast modelisation of the RAN network.

Are you a highly skilled radio engineer with a passion for energy efficiency and data-driven forecasting? We're looking for a Freelance Radio Design & Energy Engineer to support our team in optimizing the energy consumption of a modern RAN network.

What You'll Do:

• Drive and update a 3-year energy forecast model, aligning with network deployment plans

• Deliver monthly reports using OSS and smart meter data, tracking actual vs forecasted energy usage

• Analyse deviations and identify efficiency improvements across 4G/5G configurations

• Collaborate with radio design teams to enhance model accuracy and support propagation tool studies

• Lead sensitivity analyses to better understand traffic and technology impacts on energy

You Bring:

• Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering

• 3+ years of experience in RAN radio engineering or design

• Strong skills in data analysis, modelisation, and big data environments

• Familiarity with OSS counters and GIS tools

• Deep knowledge of 4G/5G configurations and vendor equipment
