Summary

This role is responsible for the planning and delivery of a number of SailGP's Race Stadiums. Working in conjunction with stakeholders to plan, define scope, schedule and oversee infrastructure, operations and other associated activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, delivery and project management of the race stadium, working closely with the Head of Event, Infrastructure Manager, Procurement Manager and Local Production Teams.
  • Work alongside key stakeholders to develop a detailed site plan for the Race Stadium, accounting for key items including but not limited to the fan journey, emergency planning, VIP experiences, branding opportunities, while optimising capacity and the use of the waterfront viewing areas.
  • Manage and maintain the project management plan for the race stadium operations.
  • Support on vendor selection, ensuring strict adherence to procurement deadlines and approved budgets.
  • Work in collaboration with the Event Experience Team to support the operations and delivery of fan engagement, activations and event experiences.
  • Report to the Race Stadium Lead to ensure league consistency.
  • Coordinate with SailGP colleagues across all departments to ensure clear communication of event deliverables and deadlines.
  • Lead Race Stadium planning meetings across internal departments, Local Production Agency and suppliers as needed, in accordance with set meeting structure.
  • Contribute to the development of long term plans and processes for the Race Stadium, including the development and implementation of sustainability strategies.
  • Contribute to the management of permits, licence and consenting in collaboration with the Head of Event and Local Production Team.

About You
  • Appreciation for accuracy and pays close attention to detail when handling key information.
  • Proficient organisational, prioritisation, communication and administrative skills.
  • Able to communicate confidently and adapt communication style according to the needs of the stakeholder.
  • Able to work independently but values working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Works effectively and enjoys a fast paced, start up environment.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across multiple departments (global and local).
  • Strong working knowledge of multi disciplinary areas including but not limited to temporary infrastructure and event operations.
  • Able to interpret and comfortably work from 2D site plans and other technical drawings.
  • Solid understanding of UK industry guidance such as the Purple Guide and Green Guide.
  • Proficient in the creation and use of spreadsheets and comfortable using project management software.
  • Vocational or academic qualifications in the areas of crowd safety, health and safety, construction or project management are desirable but not essential.
Location

London - West London. Hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days per week in the London Office.
