(R&R) Officer 1: Project & Programme Delivery

As a Support Officer in the Projects and Programme Delivery's (PPD) Business Team, you will provide financial, administrative and organisational support to project managers, project executives and the wider team. You will support project teams and undertake delegated tasks to contribute to the team's successful delivery of each project across Wales.
Administrative support will include processing contractual information and financial transactions through the use of Asite and MyNRW. Organisational support shall include assisting Project Managers and the wider team in the delivery of projects and programmes, supporting good governance, and promoting best practice.
PPD delivers a wide range of Projects and Programmes from a portfolio that includes Flood Risk Management, Reservoir Compliance, Hydrometry and Telemetry upgrades, Fisheries improvements, Land Stewardship Infrastructure schemes, and the Metal Mines programme.
What you will do- Responsible for processing requisitions, contracts, contract extensions and process payments.
- Liaise with project managers to ensure accuracy and propriety, maintaining Projects Delivery reputation for excellence.
- Provide quality control for a range of Framework and Non-Framework contracts supporting good governance.
- Support Project Managers in using the Contract Management module of Asite as well as guidance on other IT systems.
- Ongoing maintenance of Projects and Programme data in Asite.
- Support Programme Analysts with ongoing development projects.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of Project finances by allocating costs via journals and ensuring correct and prompt receipt and payment of invoices.
- Undertake administrative and secretarial duties when required.
- Provide essential support to project managers on their projects according to business and project needs.
- Undertake a programme of training and development.
- Undertake health and safety duties and responsibilities appropriate to the post.

In your application and interview you will be asked to demonstrate the following skills and experience using the STAR method.
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent such as AAT is desirable, or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite of programmes - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. A knowledge of Power BI would be desirable.
- Strong ability to analyse and interpret information is essential.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills with a customer focus. Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and partners.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload and deliver results to timescales.
