What you'll be doing as a Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Technician

As an R&M Technician, you will lead a two person R&M team, ensuring all maintenance and repair tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll be a key player in keeping vital infrastructure running smoothly.

Shift pattern
  • 1 in 4 weeks on a late shift.
  • 1 in 8 weeks on standby (Average 45 hours per week).
Flexibility for overtime during peak periods is essential. Essential criteria you'll need
  • Experience or training in repair and maintenance - ideally within the water industry.
  • Comfort with computers and IT equipment.
  • Proactive, solution focused, capable of working independently.
  • Communication of technical issues in a clear and simple way.
  • Positive, "right first time" attitude and openness to change.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather.
  • Confidence, motivation, and commitment to high standards.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Streetworks (NRSWA) or SSSTS qualification.
  • First Aid Qualification.
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Parts C1 & E of the UK Driving Licence.
  • Mains & Service Laying Training.
  • Underground Cable Detection.
  • Mini Digger / JCB Qualifications.
  • Lorry Loader Training.
  • Deep Excavation / Trench Timbering Training.
  • Temporary Works Qualification.
  • Abrasive Wheels Certification.
