R&D Tax Manager

We are looking to recruit a talented R&D Tax Manager to join our expanding Corporate Tax team. This role offers the opportunity to work with and advise a range of clients on our R&D Tax Relief proposition.
This position can offer a clear progression path and will enable you to develop your knowledge and experience through interesting assignments within a full-service accounting, tax, and advisory firm. You should be passionate about delivering excellent client service and enjoy working as part of a team, which you will help to shape and lead.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with clients to identify opportunities for R&D tax relief/credits based on their innovative technology activities.
- Collaborating with tax specialists to gather activity details and qualifying expenditure for R&D claim reports for HMRC.
- Serving as an ambassador and key contact for R&D Tax Advisory services, supporting colleagues to identify R&D opportunities for their clients.
- Promoting Bishop Fleming's services and integrating R&D advice with the firm's broader offerings.
- Leading training and development of the wider tax team to support R&D Tax service delivery and career growth.
- Participating in other tax advisory and compliance services to broaden expertise.

About You
To be considered, you will have:
- A proven track record in delivering a range of R&D Tax Relief claims of varying complexity, gained in a full-service accountancy firm or a larger R&D specialist practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders and influence at all levels.
- People management experience, with the ability to coach and develop teams.
- Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple assignments effectively.
- ACA or CTA qualification.
- A desire to help shape the success of Bishop Fleming's R&D Tax Services, both internally and externally, by building a local market presence.
- Additional accounting, tax compliance, or advisory experience is beneficial.
