R&D Packaging Director - Home Counties - £90-105k basic.

Role Overview

A multinational food manufacturer, which is home to some of the most loved brands in Britain, has a key opening within its in house packaging division.

Responsibilities

Directing and implementing our client's research and development policies, objectives and initiatives, the fundamental aim of this R&D Packaging Director role will be to ensure activities maintain competitive position and profitability through the development of new packaging solutions and improvement on existing ones. Consulting with top management and managing six direct reports, you will make recommendations based on research findings and product performance.

The nature of this role will incur frequent travel, visiting our client's various sites across the UK and beyond.

Qualifications

• Over 15 years' packaging technology/development experience within a large FMCG company.
• Strong technical and analytical mindset, with an understanding of market demand, planning and developing product packaging to meet consumer needs.
• Strong management skills with the ability to manage teams and engage stakeholders.
• Knowledge of how to drive sustainability best practices.
