Job Description
Overview

Our client works on a ground-breaking project, for which we are seeking a talented Quantum Computing Engineer on a fully remote basis. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge quantum computing systems, algorithms, and applications. The successful candidate will work on both theoretical and practical aspects of quantum computing, from algorithm design to hardware implementation.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Design and implement quantum algorithms for solving complex computational problems
  • Develop quantum software using frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane
  • Optimize quantum circuits for specific hardware architectures and noise characteristics
  • Collaborate on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing research
  • Build and maintain quantum computing software infrastructure and toolchains
  • Interface with quantum hardware systems including superconducting, trapped ion, and photonic platforms
  • Develop classical-quantum hybrid algorithms and applications
  • Perform quantum system characterization and benchmarking
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including physicists, software engineers, and product managers
  • Present research findings at conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals
Desired Education, Skills & Experience
  • Masters or PhD in Physics, Computer Science or Mathematics, or related field with focus on quantum computing
  • Hands-on experience in quantum computing research or development
  • Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and probability theory
  • Background in experimental quantum physics or quantum device fabrication
  • Familiarity with quantum error correction and noise mitigation techniques
  • Strong publication record (particularly in quantum computing or related fields)
  • Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and quantum algorithms
  • Experience of creating QNLP models for text analysis and semantic understanding
  • Experience with classical programming languages (Python, C++, Julia)
  • Knowledge of quantum hardware platforms and their characteristics
  • Experience with quantum machine learning or quantum optimization
  • Knowledge of quantum networking and quantum cryptography
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing and parallel programming
  • Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
