Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager - Residential Refurbishment

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost control and management of construction projects. This is a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of projects within budgetary constraints.

Salary: £35,000-£45,000.00 per year

MUST HAVE a minimum 2 years experience in The UK construction industry.

MUST HAVE experience working on residential refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cost estimates and prepare budgets for construction projects
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine accurate quantities of materials and labor required
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost planning
• Monitor project costs and provide regular reports on budget variances
• Identify potential cost-saving measures and propose alternatives to optimize project expenses
• Review and evaluate sub contractor bids and negotiate contracts to ensure favourable terms
• Conduct on-site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with contractual agreements
• Prepare final accounts and claims for completed projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
