Quantity Surveyor

A Quantity Surveyor is being sought by a reputable Housing Developer in Camberley, Surrey. The successful candidate will be working upon multiple residential new build projects in this region, with values in excess of £1,000,000!

The successful candidate will be required to work upon multiple residential new build projects in Surrey and surrounding areas. Such projects will include: traditional housing and high -rise developments.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be answerable to the Project Leader. The successful candidate will be in charge of both pre and post contract aspects of a development. Duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Contract administration
• Subcontractor management
• Conducting measurements
• Cost value reconciliations
• Variations (compensation/additional time/ additional works)
• Preparation of claims
• Preparation of final accounts
• Issuing Interim payments certificates

Desired Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working for a Housing Developer is highly desirable
• IT Literate
• Effective communicator - both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Able to use own initiative
• Motivated

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

A degree or similar equivilent in Quantity Surveying or similar relevant discipline is highly desirable
