Quantity Surveyor - Mayo

Our client is seeking an experienced PQS - Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team in Mayo. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs and budgets across a range of projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining quality standards.

Experience in pharmaceutical or meditech projects will be a distinct advantage, as the role involves working on technically complex, high-specification builds. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional seeking a role with hybrid flexibility in the west of Ireland.

• Provide full pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
• Manage procurement processes and evaluate contractor/subcontractor tenders.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and valuations.
• Prepare and present detailed cost reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and liaise with design teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
• Support project delivery in line with programme, budget, and quality targets.

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a PQS or consultancy-based quantity surveying role.
• Relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Strong cost reporting and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in relevant industry software (e.g., CostX, Excel, or equivalent).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Pharmaceutical or meditech sector experience is an advantage.
