Job Description

Quality Technician

6-Month Contract | On-Site in Cork | Immediate Opportunity

We are currently hiring a Quality Technician to join a leading manufacturing environment in Cork. This is a hands-on role supporting production operations and R&D activities, ensuring products meet the highest quality standards through inspection, auditing, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and quality teams to drive corrective actions and improve process performance.


Essential Requirements
  • Currently living in Cork and available to work on-site full-time.
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland without restriction.
  • 2-3+ years experience required to be considered.
  • Level 6 qualification in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality support across manufacturing and R&D operations.
  • Perform mechanical, visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on incoming materials and products.
  • Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and ISO quality system requirements.
  • Monitor production quality metrics, yields, and shop floor performance.
  • Manage quality notifications, SOP updates, process improvements, and quality-related investigations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
  • 2-3+ years' experience in a quality, manufacturing, engineering, or production-focused environment.
  • experience applying product inspection techniques and root cause problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
