Quality Engineer

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands (County)

Description

An established manufacturingcompany based in Birmingham requires a quality engineer.

Duties:

• Review, understand and follow all operating procedures within the quality department.
• Receive and react to all customer QA issues.
• Provide information and targets in relation to Yield performance and improvements.
• Assist with the continuous improvements to efficiency within the department and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Ensure all Non-Conformances are continuously recorded.
• Assist with the maintenance of the calibration system, ensuring all equipment is correctly calibrated at all times.
• Gain a clear knowledge of new product introduction and assist management where necessary.
• Conduct internal audits where requested.
• Ensure core tools are used for day to day quality.
• Obtain a good understanding and develop the ability to produce aerospace documentation including FAIR's and any in-production supporting documentation.

Requirements:

• Experience of quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of the latest ISO, TS and AS standards.

Hours:

• 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 12pm on Friday.

This is a 3 month temporary contract that starts immediately.
