Role Overview

As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely under the direction of the Quality Manager, who is responsible for ensuring the organisation's quality compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. You will be involved in a wide range of quality assurance and control activities to ensure KPIs are achieved.

The successful candidate will support the organisation's key processes, including NPI & Product Realisation, and contribute to the vision for Total Quality Management.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the quality of all processed products.
  • Interface with internal and external customers & suppliers on quality issues.
  • Dispostion of non-conforming products, manage First Articles, PPAP documentation, reworking routings & customer quality notifications.
  • Submit article concessions, First Article Inspection Reports, and PPAP Documentation.
  • Generate QMS procedures, work instructions & inspection plans supporting NPI & Product Realisation processes.
  • Lead / support RCCA workshops to implement robust corrective & preventive actions.
  • Generate & monitor FMEA, Control Plans, and data analysis.
  • Review customer and regulatory standards / specifications for QMS compliance.
  • Support quality improvement programs to reduce scrap, rework, and non-value-added costs.
  • Capture data, analyze, and generate actions for continuous improvement based on factual data.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Proven track record as a Quality Engineer in aerospace, nuclear, or similarly regulated sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in FMEA, 8D, SPC, 5Y, & Ishikawa tools.
  • AS9100 / ISO9001 Lead or Internal auditor certification.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings / CAD models.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience as a Quality professional within a Quality Engineering role.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirements and AS13000 series standards.
  • NADCAP AC7108 / AC7114 experience preferred.
  • Auditing experience is desirable.
