This organization is a GMP-certified contract laboratory supporting the (bio)pharmaceutical industry. The lab specializes in high-complexity testing to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of biological medicines-including cell and gene therapies, vaccines, and monoclonal antibodies.

Job Description

As Manager Quality Assurance, you will lead a dedicated QA team of five professionals and take ownership of the department's strategic direction. You will be responsible for safeguarding and continuously improving quality standards within a GMP-regulated environment. This includes maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), overseeing audits and inspections (e.g., IGJ and FDA), and managing deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.

You will drive and lead various QA initiatives focused on enhancing processes and quality assurance frameworks. Your ability to collaborate with operational departments, guide organizational change, and implement process optimizations will be key. You will act as a strategic partner across the organization, firmly positioning QA as a central business function.

Essential Requirements:

• HBO or WO education in a relevant field such as (bio)chemistry, pharmacy, or life sciences
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a (QA) management role within a GMP environment
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership
• Experience with change management and implementing new organizational or process structures
• Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and quality systems
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience with new facility builds and relocations is a plus
