The Role - Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant
As a Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs
Supporting pupils with their learning, development and emotional wellbeing
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
Helping pupils access the curriculum and take part fully in school life
Supporting positive behaviour and helping pupils develop their confidence and independence
Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Monitoring and communicating pupil progress and wellbeing
Creating a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment

We are looking for a Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant who has:
A recognised Teaching Assistant/SEN qualification - essential
UK-based primary school experience - essential
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
A good understanding of inclusive classroom practice
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A patient, caring and consistent approach
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
A proactive and professional attitude
