Qualification: BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management.
Professional Registration Body Membership: Basis Prompt or British Pest Control Association.
Driving Licence: Must hold a full valid driving licence.
DBS clearance required: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Information provided will be dealt with in a confidential manner in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice.
Manchester City Council has a fantastic opportunity for a customer facing Pest Control Technician to join our growing team, working around the Manchester area.
You will be at the sharp end of our service for commercial, residential, and council properties. You will be visiting our customers across your area to make inspections and carry out treatments, as well as promoting additional work if the opportunity arises.
Experience within the field of pest control is essential, but you will also be provided with an excellent training program for continual professional development.

About the CandidateWe are looking for a proactive and customer focused individual who is passionate about delivering a high quality pest control service. The ideal candidate will be dependable, professional, and able to represent Manchester City Council positively when engaging with residents, businesses, and partner organisations.
You will be a practical problem solver with a keen eye for detail, capable of assessing situations quickly and applying effective treatment solutions. A self motivated approach is essential, as you will often work independently, managing your own workload and priorities across a busy and varied schedule.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, enabling them to clearly explain technical information and provide reassurance and advice to customers. You will also be comfortable using technology to complete job reports, update systems, and maintain accurate records.
