Job Title: Qualified Accountant

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (full-time equivalent)

Are you a fully qualified accountant looking for varied client work alongside flexible part-time hours? RecruitAbility is recruiting for an accountancy practice where you'll help business owners understand their finances and plan ahead. With predominantly home-based working and school-friendly hours considered, this role offers scope to use your experience around other commitments.

The role of Qualified Accountant:

• Prepare and review accounts and financial reports.
• Produce management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Build client relationships and attend meetings to discuss financial performance and future plans.
• Explain financial information clearly, helping business owners make informed decisions.
• Resolve accounting queries and support improvements to clients' financial processes.
• Work with colleagues using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage to deliver an accurate, responsive service.

To be considered for the role of Qualified Accountant:

• Be a fully qualified accountant; ACA or ACCA qualifications are preferred.
• Have experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Be confident working independently, managing priorities and taking responsibility for your work.
• Bring strong communication skills and a personable approach to supporting clients.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and an interest in helping businesses develop.
• Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and confidently to clients.
• Have experience using accounting software; familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage would be an advantage.
• Hold a driving licence and have access to a car for travelling to the office and client meetings.

Salary and benefits for the role of Qualified Accountant:

• £55,000 - £65,000 per annum full-time equivalent, with actual pay reflecting agreed part-time hours.
• Permanent position, initially approximately 21 hours per week.
• Flexible working patterns, with school-friendly hours considered.
• Hybrid working, with Tuesdays in the office and the remaining hours worked from home.
• Usual office hours of 8.30am-4pm, with flexibility over your agreed schedule.
• 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, adjusted to your part-time working pattern.
• An additional day's annual leave for each completed year of service, up to five extra days, adjusted to your part-time working pattern.
• Statutory pension after three months.
