Job Title: Python Developer
Location: Sheffield - Hybrid - 60% Office 40% home
Salary/Rate: Up to £470/Day Inside IR35
Start Date: 01/10/2025
Job Type: Contract Until the end of the year
We are looking for a Python Developer to join a leading organisation on a contract basis. This is a chance to work on innovative automation solutions within a collaborative team environment.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:- You will be responsible for the design, development, and support of scalable automation solutions to streamline database operations.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions for database operations and rollouts.
- Troubleshooting automation issues across Scripting, APIs, and containerised environments.
- Building and integrating APIs for database management operations and automation workflows.
- Supporting continuous improvement through problem-solving, debugging, and analytical expertise.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Python development.
- Proven expertise in API development using Python and FastAPI.
- PostgreSQL Database Administration experience.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with enterprise tools (eg, Control M, TrueSight, Guardium, Tenable Nessus, Delinea).
- Knowledge of security and software development in highly regulated environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Agile practices, and tools such as JIRA.
- Familiarity with managing secrets using HashiCorp Vault.
- Containerisation and deployment experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
