Job Description

Purchasing Coordinator North Wales (Hybrid Working Available) Up to £32,000

Reed Procurement & Supply Chain are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven professional to support procurement operations, supplier management, and inventory control within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep procurement systems and reporting tools accurate and up to date
  • Develop and maintain effective supplier and stakeholder relationships
  • Support sourcing activities, including tenders and pricing reviews
  • Analyse purchasing data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities
  • Assist in supplier performance reviews and present key findings
  • Provide support for new product introductions in line with process frameworks
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed service level standards
  • Manage assigned suppliers, seeking opportunities for cost reduction
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods
  • Track and control stock levels to balance availability and cost
  • Maintain accurate material planning data within internal systems
  • Monitor product lifecycle activity to reduce risk and obsolescence
  • Report on KPIs including supplier delivery performance and stock accuracy

Person Specification

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles
  • Strong Excel and data analysis capability
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative approach

Desirable

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Sage or similar)
  • CIPS qualification or working towards
