Job Description
Sharp Consultancy are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join a large finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract for a prestigious business based in Leeds City Centre.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function, supporting intercompany processes, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately code, process, and review purchase ledger invoices and purchase orders
- Process employee expense claims in line with company policy
- Input and maintain expense data within accounting systems
- Reconcile key purchase ledger control accounts
- Prepare payment runs for review, approval, and processing
- Manage supplier queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Support the delivery of intercompany recharges and cost allocations (actuals, budget, and forecasts)
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Comfortable working with finance data (no formal accounting qualification required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- 6 month fixed term contract
- Salary up to £28,000 per annum dependant on experience
- Hybrid working
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
