Contract: part time, 21 hours per week, fixed term 12 months.
Salary: £13,986 - £15,600 plus London Weighting Allowance of £2,372 if London based.
Location: London Victoria or Burford.
Hybrid arrangement: 40% of the week based in office.

More about the role

As Public Affairs Administrator you will provide hands on administrative support for events, conferences and parliamentary engagement. Responsibilities include coordinating speakers, managing guest invitations, overseeing logistics, handling delegate registrations, providing on day event support, drafting and editing newsletters, digital content and social media posts. You will also act as secretariat for the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), preparing compliance documents, communicating with MPs, Peers and their teams, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, minutes and keeping stakeholder records.

About you

We are looking for a strong administrator who thrives on organisation, manages multiple tasks with ease, and keeps a sharp attention to detail while maintaining accurate records. You must be a confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, able to build positive working relationships across the board. A genuine interest in public affairs, policy or parliamentary processes is desirable. Comfort with digital systems and Microsoft Office is required. You should be a fantastic team player, ready to support shared objectives and reflect Blue Cross values and mission.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Experience in an administrative or coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and digital systems
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support shared objectives
  • Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply Blue Cross values
