Salary: £165-£262 per day (dependent on experience, inclusive of holiday pay)
Location: Birmingham
Monarch Education is working with a highly regarded secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a dedicated and passionate Psychology and Sociology Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full-time position for one term initially, with potential for extension, offering an opportunity to inspire students in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The RoleYou will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons in both Psychology and Sociology, fostering curiosity and critical thinking across Key Stages 5. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver outstanding lessons in Psychology and Sociology at key stage 5
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
- Support students academic and personal development
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Psychology and/or Sociology at KS5
- Strong classroom management skills
- A passion for education and student achievement
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities
