We're seeking an experienced Property Technical Services Manager to join a leading corporate organisation and take ownership of the technical performance, resilience, and long-term asset strategy of a diverse UK property portfolio.
This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to shape and implement a proactive mechanical and building services strategy, ensuring critical assets remain reliable, efficient, compliant, and aligned to wider business objectives.
The Role
As the technical lead for the property function, you will drive asset lifecycle planning, maintenance strategy, and infrastructure resilience across a multi-site portfolio. Working closely with internal stakeholders, landlords, consultants, and outsourced facilities management providers, you will ensure buildings operate effectively while supporting long-term investment and sustainability goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining asset lifecycle and forward maintenance plans.
- Assessing asset condition, performance, risk, and business impact to support investment decisions.
- Leading root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions to recurring technical issues.
- Managing and challenging outsourced FM providers to ensure service excellence.
- Establishing technical standards and engineering best practice across the portfolio.
- Supporting resilience planning and business continuity measures for critical infrastructure.
- Identifying opportunities to improve building performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
- Presenting technical recommendations and business cases to senior stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded property professional with strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to asset management.
You will ideally have:
- Significant experience within technical facilities management or property engineering.
- Strong knowledge of building services, mechanical systems, and infrastructure.
- Experience managing outsourced FM contracts and service providers.
- A proven track record in asset lifecycle planning and maintenance strategy development.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience prioritising maintenance and capital investment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and solving complex technical challenges.
Desirable
- IWFM, CIBSE, RICS or similar professional qualification.
- Experience within a corporate occupier environment.
- Exposure to sustainability, decarbonisation, or energy management initiatives.
- Knowledge of resilience planning and business continuity.
