Job Description

We are proud to be partnering with a leading Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Property Surveyor on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position based in Cheshire, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and a salary of £36,700 per annum.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who already has surveying or property maintenance experience and is looking to take the next step in their career

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Carrying out stock condition surveys and property inspections across the housing portfolio
  • Diagnosing building defects and preparing specifications for remedial works
  • Undertaking pre and post inspections, damp and mould investigations, HHSRS assessments and general property condition surveys
  • Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards
  • Supporting planned investment programmes, major voids and asset management activities
  • Producing clear reports and maintaining accurate property records to support future investment decisions

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Experience within social housing, property maintenance or construction
  • Knowledge of stock condition surveying and asset management principles
  • Understanding of building defects, planned maintenance and property inspections
  • Awareness of HHSRS, Decent Homes and housing compliance requirements
  • Experience carrying out pre and post inspections or producing schedules of works
  • Strong report writing and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage workloads and build positive relationships with residents and contractors.
  • A relevant trade qualification, HNC/HND or surveying background would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Suitable for both experienced Surveyors and candidates looking to take the next step into a Property Surveyor role

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
