Property Paralegal - Legal 500

Salary: Up to £27,000 DOE

Location: Newport - hybrid

OVERVIEW

Join a highly regarded and expanding Property team within a well-established regional Legal 500 firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Property Paralegal who is looking to develop their career long-term within a supportive culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assisting Fee Earners with a range of Residential Conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, and new build transactions
  • Supporting on files from instruction through to completion, including preparing contract packs, reviewing title documents, raising enquiries, and assisting with exchange and completion
  • Handling post-completion work, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
  • Supporting compliance with Anti-Money Laundering Regulations, including client due diligence and file checks
  • Developing practical and technical property knowledge through internal training, seminars, and webinars
  • Assisting with marketing and networking initiatives to support the continued growth of the Property department
  • Providing support to other fee earners and departments where required, particularly during busy periods
  • Assisting with Reception duties when needed
ABOUT YOU
  • Previous experience working as a Property Paralegal (essential)
  • Strong experience in Residential Conveyancing, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity
  • Exposure to the full conveyancing process, from instruction through to completion
  • Familiarity with Land Registry applications, SDLT submissions, and post-completion work
  • Experience liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
  • Understanding of AML requirements within a property context
  • Confident working independently while supporting a wider team
  • Good IT skills and experience using case management systems
