Property Maintenance Technician - Belfast City Centre

Location: Belfast City Centre Salary: £14-£15.50 per hour, depending on experience Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (including some weekends, typically one in three) Contract: Permanent Benefits: 28 days holiday per year (rising to 33 days with service), staff discounts, service awards, wellbeing and social events, flexible shift patterns.

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Property Maintenance Technician to join a prestigious organisation in Belfast. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Property Maintenance Technician will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the facilities. This is a varied and hands-on role covering plumbing, painting, electrical work, joinery, general maintenance, and preventive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC checks

Respond promptly to repair requests and guest issues

Conduct inspections to identify and resolve maintenance concerns

Support preventive maintenance programs and larger projects

Maintain safety standards for staff, guests, and visitors

Record maintenance issues accurately in the property management system

Adhere to stock control procedures and maintain equipment and materials

Assist with incident response, including power or fire alarm activations

Undertake general porterage and movement of heavy items

Take utility meter readings and report as required

Wear appropriate uniform and protective clothing

Follow safe working practices, risk assessments, and company procedures

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience in a similar maintenance role

Calm under pressure with the ability to manage competing priorities

Flexible, professional, punctual, and detail-oriented
