Job Description
Overview

An IT consultancy specialising in providing data-driven solutions in the supply chain sector is seeking a Project Support Officer to support the planning, coordination, and governance of projects and programmes across the business. The PMO Support Officer will have previous experience supporting within a multi-project environment, strong organisational and administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and a good understanding of project management methodologies. Additionally, you will be proficient in using project management tools and a proactive and adaptable approach to collaboration and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support to project and programme teams across a diverse range of initiatives
  • Assist in maintaining project documentation, plans, reports, and registers (e.g. risk, issue, action, decision logs)
  • Support the PMO in monitoring progress, tracking milestones, and producing regular performance reports
  • Coordinate project meetings, workshops, and governance forums, including preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions
  • Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and tools
  • Assist in resource tracking, financial reporting, and project forecasting activities
  • Support stakeholder communications and maintain effective working relationships across teams
  • Support day-to-day operations and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when required
  • Provide general administrative and practical support
  • Contribute to continuous improvement
  • Maintain a proactive and dependable approach
  • Travel to customer sites and other locations when required
Knowledge, skills and qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience providing project or PMO support within a multi-project environment
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent)
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
  • Proactive and adaptable approach with a focus on collaboration and delivery

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualification or certification in project management or administration

Salary: £32,000 to £45,000 DOE
