The organisation exists to support individuals and families when they face difficult challenges and cannot find support elsewhere.

Haven House.

Work Schedule

Full Time, 38.5 Hours per week, 7 day rota (including evenings & weekends - days).

Contract

12 months - Fixed Term Contract.

Salary

€39,625 - €49,205 depending on experience.

Reporting to

Deputy Project/Project Leader.

Role

Provide a critical service in 24 hour short term residential services to adult men and women experiencing homelessness. Place residents with the aim of assisting them to secure long term housing while ensuring all supports and personal attributes required for sustainable housing are in place. Work closely with other colleagues in care planning and case management following the DRHE Pathways Model.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the case management system and engage in one to one work with a specific allocated caseload from referral to disengagement, including HNA assessment, developing and implementing a comprehensive support plan, updating the PASS system, advocating, arranging meetings and linking the client to appropriate services to find long term housing.
  • Engage with and build professional trusting relationships with individual service users, treating them with dignity and respect, and working within Crosscare values.
  • Carry out duties related to the operation of a residential service, resolving conflict, responding to health issues, premise management, taking referrals, welcoming and engaging with residents.
  • Liaise with and advocate to a broad range of external service providers in addition to internal services.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and be open to reasonable requests from the Project Leader/Deputy to ensure effective working relationships and responses to residents.
  • Work within Crosscare policies and standard operating procedures of the project.
  • Assist and contribute to the quality agenda to ensure consistent delivery and adherence to service and quality standards.
  • Perform all administrative duties relating to the role to ensure the project runs smoothly.
  • Observe all Health and Safety policies and participate in continual quality improvement to maintain building security day and night.
  • Have work experience and employment in homeless services, addiction services, residential services, community and/or youth work sector.
Qualifications Required
  • Option 1: ABA degree in Applied Social Care, Addiction, Mental Health, Nursing, Psychology or equivalent Level 7 qualification awarded under NFQ/QQI.
  • Option 2: Minimum Level 6 qualification in Social Care or Addiction awarded under NFQ/QQI.
Experience Required
  • At least 1 year of relevant employment working with a similar client group.
  • Internal candidates: At least 6 months of relevant employment working with a similar client group.
