An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to join the Service Improvement Team, which oversees a range of service improvement activity within Adult Services. The team works across services and with partner organisations to support the delivery of effective, person centred services and to drive continuous improvement.

Our team is passionate about making a difference and is looking for a like minded individual to join us as a Project Support Officer, supporting the delivery of key projects and improvement activity across the service.
About the jobAs a Project Support Officer, you will support the delivery of key projects and service improvement activity, assisting the Service Improvement Manager and working closely with Operational Managers, colleagues across Social Services, and partner organisations. The role will involve coordinating project activity, supporting planning and reporting processes, and ensuring progress against agreed actions and milestones.
You will work with a wide range of professionals, stakeholders, and partner agencies to support the effective delivery of programmes that contribute to improved outcomes for adults with learning disabilities. This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to develop project support skills while making a positive contribution to service development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the coordination of projects and work programmes, tracking actions and milestones and reporting on progress.
- Producing performance monitoring information, reports, and updates to support service oversight and decision making.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of projects aligned to service priorities and strategic objectives.
- Analysing information and contributing to recommendations for service improvement and future ways of working.
- Supporting planning, reporting, and information sharing across teams and partner organisations.
The successful candidate will need strong organisational and coordination skills. You will have experience of supporting project or service improvement activity, including the use of tools and processes to monitor progress and outcomes. You will be a motivated individual with confidence in using digital systems and new technology. You will need to work effectively as part of a team, while also being comfortable working on your own initiative. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Additional informationThe post is temporary until 26th March 2027.
