Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A well-regarded construction consultancy in Manchester is looking to appoint an ambitious Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to work on high-quality residential and hotel developments while continuing to build their experience in a supportive consultancy environment. The successful Project Manager will join a business with a strong reputation, an established client base and a healthy pipeline of projects across the North West.

The Project Manager will take an active role in delivering schemes from the early design stages through to construction and completion. They are looking for a Project Manager who is comfortable coordinating project teams, communicating with clients and taking ownership of day-to-day delivery. This would suit a Project Manager who wants greater responsibility and a clear path towards Senior Project Manager level.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will work across a portfolio of residential and hotel projects, supporting clients throughout the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities will include managing project programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams, monitoring design development, assisting with procurement, identifying and managing project risks, chairing meetings and producing clear project reports.

You will work closely with clients, architects, consultants and contractors, ensuring projects remain on programme and are delivered to the expected quality standards.

The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will ideally have:

• Previous Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
• Experience delivering residential, hotel or similar development projects
• A strong understanding of the construction lifecycle
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and wider project teams
• Good knowledge of programme management, procurement and project reporting
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• A relevant construction, property or Project Management degree
• Ideally working towards MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB or another recognised professional qualification
• A motivated approach and desire to progress within consultancy Project Management
