About the RoleOur client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong mechanical and plumbing background to take ownership of a key resort project in Longford.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has progressed through a trade or building services background and is confident leading mechanical installations on site from planning through to commissioning and handover.
You will be responsible for coordinating all mechanical works, managing subcontractors, and ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time, and to a high standard of quality.
What You'll Be Doing- Leading all mechanical and plumbing works on site from installation through to commissioning
- Managing subcontractors and coordinating day-to-day site activity
- Overseeing installation of:
- Air-to-water heat pumps
- Hot & cold-water systems
- Ventilation and extract systems
- Sanitary services and pipework
- Mechanical plant, pumps, valves, and manifolds
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and ensuring buildability on site
- Planning works to meet programme milestones and project deadlines
- Ensuring compliance with Irish building regulations, H&S standards, and RAMS
- Carrying out inspections, snagging, and quality assurance checks
- Attending site meetings and reporting on mechanical progress
- Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams
- Supporting junior staff and promoting best practice on site
- Trade qualification or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, Building Services, or similar
- Strong background in mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, heat pump systems, etc.)
- 3-5+ years' experience in a Foreman, Supervisor, or Project Manager role
- Proven experience delivering mechanical packages on commercial or residential projects
- Strong understanding of commissioning processes and site coordination
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Full driving licence (company vehicle provided)
