Summary: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead and manage large-scale civil engineering projects within the EHV (Extra High Voltage) sector, specifically focusing on substation builds. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of site operations, including civils works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong background in civils infrastructure and the ability to work nationwide across multiple large projects. The Site Manager will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Experience in managing complex, safety-critical environments and understanding the unique challenges of substation construction is essential.

- Proven experience managing civils works on substation or EHV projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles related to large infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage multiple work packages and coordinate across teams.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong health, safety, and environmental compliance awareness.
- Experience with temporary works and construction risk management.
- Competence in planning, programming, and resource allocation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Client and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to work nationwide.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Project management and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6)
- Common site engineering tools (Total Station, GPS)
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent
- CSCS Black or Gold Card
- Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) or Supervisor (desirable)
- CDM 2015 Awareness
- First Aid at Work (desirable)
- Relevant EHV sector qualifications (e.g., Earthing Control Person (ECP), Earthing Application Person (EAP), LVAP) advantageous
