Freelance Project Manager - Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

South Derbyshire

Immediate Start Contract Until October 2026

We are urgently seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a live civil engineering and infrastructure scheme based just south of Derby.

The project is already underway and is programmed to run through until late October, offering a fantastic opportunity for a hands on PM with strong infrastructure and residential development experience.

Scope of Works:

• Construction of a Section 38 adopted lit road
• Associated earthworks and land formation
• Installation of a foul pumping station
• Construction of a substation base
• Storm drainage infrastructure including:
  • Storm attenuation
  • Hydro brake chamber
• Culverting of an existing watercourse
• Construction of associated headwalls and ancillary works

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience managing civil engineering and infrastructure projects
• Strong background in roads, drainage, earthworks and utilities
• Ability to oversee site operations, programme delivery, commercial awareness and client liaison
• SMSTS, First Aid and relevant industry qualifications preferred
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
