Project Manager - Rail Infrastructure Project 
A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a major rail infrastructure project spanning the Leitrim to Longford corridor. This is a key leadership role on a strategically important transport project involving significant civil engineering, enabling works, and rail corridor upgrades.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while coordinating multiple stakeholders across the rail and civil engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of a large-scale rail infrastructure project across the Leitrim-Longford corridor
- Manage project programme, budget, and resource allocation from planning through to completion
- Oversee site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Coordinate with rail authorities, designers, consultants, and key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all rail industry standards, specifications, and safety requirements
- Manage risk, identify issues early, and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting to senior management and clients
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, and commercial performance
- Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations and rail safety protocols
- Drive quality assurance and delivery of works in line with technical requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in Project Management within civil engineering or infrastructure
- Strong experience on rail, transport, or major linear infrastructure projects is essential
- Irish or UK construction experience required
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage complex programmes and work under pressure
- Full driving licence required
- Competitive salary (€85,000 - €95,000 DOE)
