Job Title: Project Manager - Renewable Energy (Solar PV & BESS)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours/week)
Location: Co. Kildare / Leixlip area (with hybrid flexibility)
Travel: Occasional travel to project sites across Ireland

Our client is an established international full-service provider of renewable energy, dedicated to building the energy systems of the future. Operating as a newly formed, agile subsidiary backed by a powerful European parent group, their Irish operations focus on the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of utility scale Solar PV projects and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Job Context

This is a hands on, roll up your sleeves role ideal for a proactive and resourceful doer. Sitting within a close knit, fast growing team and reporting directly to the Country Manager, you will manage utility scale projects completely from the tender stage through to client handover. This role requires high flexibility, excellent commercial acumen, and the ability to work cross functionally across procurement, logistics, and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Project Delivery: Oversee all phases of the project life cycle-including contract award, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final client handover.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central point of contact for customers, sub contractors, and suppliers, while collaborating closely with internal engineering and procurement teams.
  • Commercial & Contract Management: Diligently manage contracts, variations, and claims to safeguard project integrity and ensure compliance with standard terms.
  • Financial Oversight: Closely monitor project timelines, budgets, costs, and cash flows to maintain optimal financial health.
  • Supply Chain Management: Directly manage external partners to ensure the punctual delivery of critical components and site services.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present clear progress reports and milestone updates directly to the Country Manager and senior leadership.
Candidate Profile
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience working as a Cost Engineer or Quantity Surveyor (QS) is highly desirable (familiarity with CESMM is a plus).
  • A minimum of 3 years' professional experience managing large scale infrastructure projects within the renewable energy, power, or civil engineering sectors (Solar PV or Wind experience is heavily preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of contract management and standard forms (e.g., FIDIC) alongside familiarity with frameworks like PRINCE2, PMBOK, or Agile.
Skills & Mindset
  • Self motivated, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast paced start up environment.
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Asana) and MS Office.
What's on Offer?
  • Flexible 37.5-hour work week, hybrid remote options, and half-day Fridays.
  • 34 annual leave days (including public holidays).
  • Immediate membership in the company health insurance and pension schemes.
  • Vibrant start-up atmosphere with flat hierarchies, direct exposure to executive leadership, and regular team social events.
  • Strong professional development support, including funded courses, certifications, and long-term career progression within a global energy group.
