Job Description
Project Manager - Chorley (Hybrid Working)Are you a Project Manager with a background in software delivery who enjoys working closely with clients and development teams? If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely influence projects, grow your skills, and be part of a supportive team, this could be a great next step.This well-established and successful organisation is expanding and looking to welcome a Project Manager into their friendly, experienced software development team. You'll work on a variety of client projects, helping shape solutions from early requirements through to successful delivery.You don't need to be hands-on technically, but you should feel comfortable discussing applications, databases, and system design with developers and clients. You'll act as the bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, making sure everyone stays aligned and projects run smoothly.What you'll be doing
  • Managing software projects end to end, including scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Working closely with clients to understand their needs and manage expectations
  • Collaborating daily with in-house developers and reviewing project deliverables
  • Applying structured project management approaches (Agile, PRINCE2, Waterfall)
  • Owning project budgets of around £500k+
  • Supporting quality assurance and engagement reviews
What we're looking for
  • Experience as a Project Manager in a client-facing environment
  • Background delivering projects across the software development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or PRINCE2 (certification is a bonus, not a blocker)
  • Someone organised, communicative, and confident managing multiple stakeholders
  • Ideal for a Project Manager with an application development background looking to progress
