Actively seeking an experienced, professional Project Manager to join a Tier 1 Principal contractor at the forefront of the construction industry specialising in high-value, industrial construction projects across the UK. Renowned for their forward-thinking approach, collaborative culture, and industry-leading safety standards, this contractor builds industrial, civil, and infrastructure projects.
Looking for a highly capable and motivated Project Manager to lead a major construction project from inception to completion. Ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to exact standards.
About the role & Responsibilities
- Be responsible and take full ownership of site operations
- Manage multidisciplinary teams
- Oversee phases of construction delivery
- Work closely with clients, design consultants, and internal stakeholders to drive performance, safety, and quality across your project
- Lead project delivery of construction and fit-out schemes in the industrial sector from £50m - £100m projects
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinate subcontractors and site management teams
- Ensure compliance with H&S regulations
- Chair progress meetings and maintain stakeholder engagement
- Drive quality control, value engineering, and commercial efficiency
- Monitor risk, performance, and programme milestones
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be a confident and solutions-driven leader with a proven track record in delivering large-scale projects in a main contractor setting. You will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and hold a deep commitment to safety, sustainability, and innovation.
- 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager role
- Background in industrial, logistics, highways, or multi-room residential projects
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work certifications
- Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preferred)
- Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contract frameworks
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
