Base Location: Portsmouth / Reading
You would be required to travel to our projects based in Southampton, Winchester, and Isle of Wight.
Salary: £58,630 - £68,098 + car / car allowance + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing, and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent Full Time Flexible First options available
The role
As a Project Manager, you will oversee various projects following our investment management process.
The Large Capital Delivery team handles asset replacement, network reinforcement, and customer connection projects across primary and grid distribution networks up to 132kV.
You will
- Manage multiple projects adhering to our investment management procedures.
- Handle safety, quality, cost, and schedule aspects.
- Ensure project documents and contracts comply with SSEN processes throughout all phases.
- Engage with stakeholders effectively to support safe and efficient project execution.
- Collaborate with design engineers, field staff, contractors, customers, and stakeholders in project teams.
You have
- Experience managing projects involving underground cables, overhead lines, and substation works up to 132kV is desirable; other relevant sectors/utilities may also be considered.
- An Engineering qualification is preferred, along with recognized construction safety and project management certifications.
- Contract management experience, ideally with NEC construction contract knowledge.
- Familiarity with the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 and understanding of related roles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- A current driving license, as regular travel is required.
