The position is delivery-focused and suited to an individual who combines technical authority, practical site leadership, and hands-on engineering understanding .The successful candidate will lead projects across cleanrooms, containment environments, healthcare ventilation, and LEV installations while actively contributing technical expertise in commissioning, balancing, validation, and system performance optimisation.This document is uncontrolled once printedDue to the national nature of our projects, this role will primarily involve working away from home during project delivery periods , supporting customers across the UK.# Purpose of the role To successfully deliver projects from mobilisation through completion while acting as a technical leader within the business, supporting engineering teams, improving system performance, and strengthening Total Clean Air's reputation for technical excellence.The role bridges: Project Management Technical SME input LEV and airflow performance delivery Client consultancy Internal capability development# Key Responsibilities Project Delivery Manage projects from pre-start through commissioning and handover Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers Ensure delivery to programme, budget, and quality expectations Maintain strong client communication throughout project lifecycle Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions Produce and manage RAMS, programmes, and project documentation Support commercial awareness including variations and risk management Technical SME Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise across LEV, HVAC commissioning, and cleanroom systems Undertake or oversee system interrogation and performance troubleshooting Support airflow balancing and verification activities Lead or assist commissioning and validation strategies Provide consultancy input during design and pre-construction stages Interpret performance data and produce technical reports and recommendations Support development of technical standards and best practice within TCA LEV and Commissioning Activities Support LEV TExT testing programmes and commissioning works Carry out benchmarking, rebalancing, and performance optimisation Provide guidance aligned with HSG258, COSHH, and relevant standards Assist with surveys, condition reports, and system health checks Support specialist testing including cleanrooms, isolators, theatres, and containment environmentsLeadership, Mentoring and Training Mentor junior engineers and developing project managers Provide technical coaching and on-site training Support creation of SOPs, technical procedures, and training materials Promote consistent engineering standards across delivery teams Act as a senior technical presence on complex projects Commercial Control Monitor costs, prepare progress reports, manage variations, and safeguard project profitability without compromising quality or compliance.Quality Management (UKAS 17025 and ISO 9001 Focus) Ensure project outputs meet defined requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria. Control project documentation, records, and deliverables in accordance with document control procedures. Identify, report, and support the resolution of non-conformances, defects, or deviations arising during project delivery.Health, Safety & Environmental Control (ISO 45001 / 14001) Champion safety and quality on site, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, company procedures, and client requirements. Ensure project risks are identified, assessed, and controlled in accordance with company and legal requirements. Implement and enforce approved RAMS, CDM controls, and site rules for projects under their control. Stop work where unsafe, non-compliant, or environmentally harmful activities are identified.Resource & Competence Oversight Ensure that project resources, including personnel and contractors, are suitable and competent for the activities assigned. Escalate any gaps in competence, authorisation, or resource availability that may impact safety, quality, or compliance.Change Control & Configuration Management Manage changes to scope, design, programme, or resources through formal change control processes. Ensure changes are assessed for impact on quality, safety, environmental performance, and compliance prior to implementation.Records, Traceability & Audit Readiness Ensure project records are complete, accurate, and traceable, and retained in line with IMS requirements. Support internal and external audits, including ISO and UKAS assessments, relating to project activities.Governance & Escalation (Executive-Level Control)This document is uncontrolled once printed Escalate risks, non-conformances, or compliance concerns that cannot be resolved at project level. Support corrective and preventive actions arising from audits, incidents, or management reviews.Team Development Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a culture of learning, excellence, and collaboration.Continuous Improvement Contribute to the refinement of project delivery processes, supporting innovation and best practice across the business."The Project Manager is accountable for ensuring that project activities are planned, controlled, anddelivered in compliance with applicable quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements".# Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in managing cleanroom, laboratory, or complex M&E construction projects. + Strong technical understanding of HVAC, LEV, and cleanroom standards (e.g., BS EN ISO 14644, EU GMP Annex 1, HTM-03, HSG258). + Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. + Demonstrable commercial and contractual awareness (EPC/Design & Build projects advantageous). + Proficiency in project management software and MS Office tools. + Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management, or project management (APM/Prince2 desirable). + Flexibility to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas.# Personal Qualities Engaging LeaderNaturally inspires confidence and motivates teams.
