Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years of experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.
We are currently looking for a Project Finance Senior Manager to give support to our projects globally in Madrid or Sevilla.
What will you help with:
- Lead end-to-end execution of complex Project Finance transactions at an international level.
- Analysis of investment/divestment opportunities in renewable energy projects.
- Provide strategic input into bids for auctions and PPAs.
- Structure and negotiate financing agreements with financial institutions.
- Oversee and validate detailed financial models and valuation analysis for project funding and investment decision-making.
- Coordinate internal teams and manage external advisers (financial, legal, technical, insurance, agents) throughout the financing process.
- Prepare strategic documents, financial presentations, and risk assessments for Investment Committees and senior leadership.
- Collaboration with the rest of the Financial and Business Area teams.
- Prepare and oversee analysis and monitoring documents for internal Committees.
- Analysis of financial sensitivities (main variables, analysis of deviations, etc.) to ensure project viability.
Who you are:
- Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Engineering. An MBA is desirable.
- You are based in Madrid or Sevilla.
- +5 years of experience in Project Finance or structured finance, ideally within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Excellent spoken and written English (will be tested). Italian/French is a plus.
- High proficiency in Excel (financial modeling), PowerPoint, and financial information systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of the infrastructure market and energy market.
- International experience is a plus.
