Project Engineering Lead - Laser Rangefinder/Designator ProductsWe are seeking a Project Engineering Lead (PEL) to oversee the development of our Laser Rangefinder/Designator products. The PEL will define engineering aspects within an existing product group, guiding the product through qualification and into full-rate production.
The role involves leading the Type 173 laser project, which replaces the Type 153 ALLD. The successful candidate will lead a team through a delta-Qualification exercise in 2025, manage production lead-in in 2026, and oversee the transition to full production from early 2027.
Ideal candidates will have prior leadership experience, strong systems engineering skills, and the ability to support the Integrated Project Team (IPT) in achieving project milestones.

- Excellent tracking and management of activities with multiple dependencies.
- Effective communication skills to foster relationships with engineers, managers, and customers.
- Experience in managing and motivating multidisciplinary teams.
- Practical knowledge of requirements management tools like DOORS.
- High resilience in high-pressure environments.
Desirable skills include familiarity with Laser products.
As a PEL, you will:
- Manage stakeholder engagement through DVT and Qualification phases, compiling reports and verification evidence for certification via a DDP.
- Directly manage a system team.
- Ensure adherence to the company's Lifecycle Management and project engineering processes.
- Collaborate with Engineering Management and Chief Engineers for swift decision-making.
- Maintain effective communication across all project levels and disciplines.
- Support your team to meet their commitments.
