An established Irish company operating in the renewable energy and construction sector is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of a new headquarters development in Mallow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain hands on experience in a live construction project. Working alongside an experienced team, you will assist in coordinating the project from detailed design through to completion, gaining exposure to all stages of the construction process.
The successful candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers, helping to ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Support the day to day coordination of the headquarters development project.
- Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings and construction details.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling and progress tracking.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations and assist with the procurement of materials and subcontractors.
- Help coordinate contractor activities and site schedules.
- Attend site meetings, record actions and follow up on outstanding items.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure information is kept up to date.
- Provide general project support to the senior project team throughout the build.
- Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
- Graduate or up to 2-3 years' experience in a construction, engineering or project coordination role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- An understanding of construction drawings and technical detailing.
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively with different stakeholders.
- Full driving licence.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
